Dramatic LAMDA results

By Harriet Crawford, LAMDA Teacher
Many Bedalians have taken LAMDA acting exams this year with all blocks represented taking Grade 5 to Gold Medal. Results, just released, are outstanding with more students than ever passing with the top mark: 22 Distinctions from 31 candidates. A huge variety of scenes was performed from Shakespeare to Shakers, and Restoration to Ravenhill. Students were asked to select scenes in varying styles and from different periods. Having read and studied their texts, they rehearsed and explored their characters in order to have a discussion with the examiner as part of their examination. Many congratulations to all, especially those of you with Bronze, Silver or Gold under your belt – an outstanding achievement.
