Expressionistic experience at the Roundhouse

The 6th Form Theatre Studies visit to Fuerzabruta at the Roundhouse certainly pushed the boundaries in terms of expressionistic experience. A thumping Latino soundtrack accompanies stunning violent and poetic visual effects; whether this is a watery-world suspended only inches from the audience (carrying moderately nude women) or a man bursting through a series of moving walls. The fact that we all looked like drenched cats on the coach home definitely displayed the show’s captivating effect, considering that we chose (actually some had no choice) to stand beneath a 7ft wide shower of pounding water towards the end. It is unlikely that anyone will find an experience such as this.
