Fun and fascination with Neuroscience

A group of 6.1 scientists recently attended a Southampton University Neuroscience event, where they were able to find out about the latest developments in this exciting field from researchers and see demonstrations of their work. What can a fruit-fly tell us about our circadian rhythms? What can a nematode worm tell us about alcohol dependency? There was also an inspiring lecture by the Professor Vincent O’Connor that was partly careers advice, partly neurology and partly playing with water pistols. Fun and fascination rolled into one.
