In the first week of the holidays a group of sixth form drama students took a windy ride up to the iconic seaside town of Scarborough to take part in the National Student Drama Festival (NSDF). The Festival was filled with workshops as varied and exciting as ‘How to be Epic’ and ‘Hold me! Thrill me! Kiss me! Kill me!’ both of which were highly popular amongst Bedalians. The evenings involved visits to see plays performed by other schools, universities and drama groups from around the country, setting the bar high for the 6.1s aiming to do their devised pieces next year. Despite the best efforts of the British weather, NSDF was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience. Read review by 6.2 student George Veys who was part of the NSDF technical team and won an award for his work. View photos.
