Boarders visit Winchester Christmas fair and ice rink

Two minibuses full of students, mainly weekend boarders, hit the Christmas fair for skating, shopping and sightseeing in the Fair’s first weekend of the season. We had amazing weather this year, bright and clear, so it was a great afternoon. All the skaters had a great time but in terms of skating style I think more Orvill than Torvill on the whole. The ice rink had the cathedral as an impressive backdrop and was surrounded by Christmas stalls selling lots of goodies. Some students decided they just wanted to shop and ventured further afield to the Winchester High Street, a lovely quaint market town centre. With all the Christmas lights it was a magical afternoon all round.
