General knowledge team beat Roedean

On Monday the Bedales General Knowledge team travelled to Roedean School to participate in the second round of the Schools Challenge Quiz, a competition similar to University Challenge for students aged 11 to 18.  After a long journey across to Brighton we were revitalised with refreshments and then the match began. We were met with stiff competition, but Bedales were quicker on the buzzer throughout and after a 30 minute match the score ended 210 – 490 with Bedales progressing to the third round of the national competition. The match saw an excellent contribution from all four players – Izzy Soper, Anna Baring and Noah Clarke-Hall, with Ashley Viljoen as a composed and rational captain. Our next round match will take place in the new year.
