Weekend boarders enjoy Greenwich visit

The weekend before last, Benedict and Clare took 10 boarders to Greenwich as an activity. We went on a boat from the Embankment to Greenwich Pier. We really enjoyed the views on both sides of the River Thames and we saw famous buildings, like the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. There was a big market with many different choices of food and we were able to buy our picnic lunch there. Then we went up the hill in Greenwich where we saw the Shepherd Gate Clock and the Prime Meridian line. Clare and Benedict told us a lot about the history and old traditions of the boats. The view of the whole of London from the top of the hill was marvellous. Before we left, we went to the Museum and gift shop – I wish I could have stayed there for longer!
